4.5th  May 2018 at 7.30 pm           Dornach-Basel  Neuestheater               17th of May at 8.30 pm     Palco sala teatro LAC Lugano MOTIVO DI UNA DANZA  cwith the participation of the poet Fabio Pusterla Direction and Choreography by Tiziana Arnaboldi. Dancers: Faustino Blanchut, Eleonora Chiocchini, Marta Ciappina, Pierre-Yves Diacon, David Labanca, Claudia Rossi-Valli, Francesca Zaccaria. Music and sound processing: Mauro Casappa. Video: Oscar Accorsi. First Journey  new production A bare landscape, made only of rocks, is the setting for the election of a community far away in time. Here are the origins of actions and memories. The body attempts to call for work, rituals, desires. Releasing the body onto the ground leads to pulsing emotions, to a value of fragility. New actions arise from this driving force prompting the quest for stable spots to pause, suspended in the air. It’s a dance based on sensitive, light steps, amongst rough rocks, where feet and hands search contact with the earth. Second Journey    Swiss prize for dance heritage 2018   Following the traces of the Belgian dancer Charlotte Bara, fascinating founder of the Theatre San Materno. A journey between the past and the present, between her language and our dance. On the scene, the dancers Eleonora Chiocchini, Marta Ciappina and Francesca Zaccaria, bring back the creative magic of Charlotte Bara, whose gestures, filled with mystery and deep spirituality, have inspired poets, painters and musicians. The hands are the leading thread of all her dances: “We breathe the world through our hands, they translate the most subtle thoughts to bond together body and spirit.” Coproduction Teatro San Materno Ascona Neuestheater Basel-Dornach With the support of Republic and Canton Ticino DECS, Swisslos, Swiss Federal Office of Culture, Prohelvetia, Comune di Ascona, Fondazione Pende In collaborazione con la Rassegna Home    29th of April    2018                Bern      Reformierte Kirche Wabern   DANZA e MISTERO  omaggio alla danzatrice  belga Charlotte Bara 1901-1986 Following the traces of the Belgian dancer Charlotte Bara, fascinating founder of the Theatre San Materno.
